Positive: Location Negative: The property did not match the photos. The apartment had a damp smell, and the reception staff were not helpful, as they always referred us to Booking.com instead of assisting us directly.

Great location. Easy to get to everything. Wish there were more towels provided, more toilet paper and more coffee.

Good location, Booking.com listing made it appear better value for money than it is. Positive: Location was good for walking - close to Marble Arch tube station, Hyde Park. Good quality refrigerator, airconditioning units and washing machine. Negative: This part of London has become more dirty and felt less safe than when we visited 3 years which was a real shame. The photos on Booking.com exaggerated the condition of the property. It is cramped with a musty feel. 4 flights of stairs to climb. The balcony was not clean, had rubbish. The reception of the hotel was pretty unfriendly and again a damp, dark feel. We have stayed in London a number of times and appreciate that accommodation in London is expensive. However, I would recommend paying a little more and staying somewhere nicer.

This was perfect for us and kids ages 14 and 10 as opposed to a single hotel room. Spacious for us to move around and rest in between outings in London.Some great restaurants and bakeries within 5-10 min walks, and a convenience store with wine, beer etc just up the road.And Marble Arch station a mere 2 min walk.
